AMA Tours to Visit Spain & Portugal in September

AMA Tours, the organized-tour division of the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA), has announced its newest motorcycling adventure, which will take place in Spain and Portugal from September 18 through October 1, 2004.AMA Logo

"For the last couple of years, our past AMA Tour members' most-requested new tour destination has been the Iberian Peninsula," said Frank Covucci, AMA Travel & Tours Director. "Basically, they've been telling us, 'Build it and we will come,' so that's what we've done."

This new tour will include the very best of Spain and Portugal, begins and ends in Madrid, and will include such notable destinations as Avila, La Alberca, Nazare, Lisbon, Sevilla, and Granada. Along the way, riders can expect to experience the things enjoyed by most motorcycle tourists, such as meandering backroads, stunning scenery, intriguing history, hearty food, great accommodations, interesting cultures and lots of camaraderie.

The Spain and Portugal tour builds on the AMA's many years of expertise gained from running organized trips through the Alps, the British Isles, South Africa and New Zealand, as well as numerous tours across North America. On this new excursion, AMA Tours handles most of the details, such as hotels, meals, and support van, and also includes a selection of BMW motorcycles. Prices start at $4,535 for a single rider sharing a room with another rider (excluding airfare).

For a complete itinerary, motorcycle selection and price information for Spain and Portugal 2004, as well as information about each of the 11 other AMA Tours currently available, please contact AMA Tours at 800-AMA-JOIN, extension 1190 or 1196; or visit the AMA website at www.directlink.com and click on AMA Tours
