2004 Cycle World International Motorcycle Shows

March 16, 2004 The Cycle World International Motorcycle Shows(R) presented by Toyota Trucks (IMS) will finish the 2004 tour at the Minneapolis Convention Center, in Minneapolis, March 26-28, 2004. Tickets for the event are $11 for adults, $5 for children 6-11 and free for children 5 and under. Tickets are available in advance at www.motorcycleshows.com and on-site at the box office or call the InfoLine at (800) 331-5706 and (218) 723-9130 for more information.

"We're excited to be back in our home state of Minnesota where we look to finish strong with enthusiasts attending our show with 12 major manufacturers and other local vendors," said Show Director Jeff D'Entremont. "Show attendance continues to grow with special features like the action-packed Ball of Steel Stunt Show, which is an overall healthy sign for the industry."

Minneapolis is the last stop on the thirteen-city tour; the Cycle World International Motorcycle Shows presented by Toyota Trucks has eclipsed last year's attendance mark, up almost 11 percent.

"The many different and exciting forms of motorcycling offer individuals a wide range of two-wheeled adventures to enjoy, or just a great way to get around in style. Lots of cool new bikes, gear, apparel, and accessories make for many ways to personalize the experience, and are helping to keep motorcycling hot," said Motorcycle Industry Council President Tim Buche on continued growth in the industry.

The Ball of Steel Stunt Team, appearing at the show, is comprised of three brothers from Fort Worth, Texas - Preston Landers (age 16), Brandon Landers (age 17) and Kyle Landers (age 18). The one-of-a-kind performance features three motorcycle riders hitting G-forces as they synchronize their motorcycles to perform insane stunts in a giant 16-ft steel globe. The show concludes with the youngest rider performing a back flip on his motorcycle.

Honda will also be showcasing the Dream 50R & NSR50R! These competition-racing machines are made for closed-course only and can been only seen at our show, as they will not be found at any dealership. This is a one-time run of these rare bikes that can be special ordered through dealers.

The Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum will also have a presence at the show, featuring some of the legends of the industry.

Traveling to 13 major cities across the country, the IMS series is an unparalleled opportunity for bike buffs along with casual enthusiasts to experience the cutting-edge of powersports vehicles, products, and services. The 2004 line-up of OEMs include: Aprilia, BMW, Buell, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, Moto Guzzi, Suzuki, Triumph, Victory and Yamaha. Representatives from local dealerships will be available to answer questions and help enthusiasts determine the perfect ride for their size and experience level.

The Powersports Group is also pleased to welcome back Ducati and Moto Guzzi this time for the full tour. As always, an onslaught of the hottest sport bikes, cruisers, scooters, dual-sport machines, off-road bikes, motocross and 4-wheel ATVs will be represented.

Show highlights will include stunt riders, special demonstrations and interactive features. Attractions will also include vintage displays highlighting vehicles of all makes and models, and the all-new Club House with special features, message boards, and contests targeting motorcycle club members.

Show attendees who want in-depth information about motorcycle parts and accessories can visit the expert staff in "The Factory," a showcase of the latest aftermarket products and essential riding gear where they can compare and discuss everything from performance parts to the latest communications hardware with manufacturer representatives. On hand will be Nick Nichols, aka - "Mr. Motorcycle."
